Workshop for professionals during the International theatre festival for Children and Youth “No-mad-I”, 30st of May – 1st of June, 2010, Liepaja, Latvia
Creative workshop “Tabus in Theatre for Children and Youth”
This workshop took place in an eco house in Liepaja (www.radividipats.lv) from the 30st of May until 1st of June.
26 theatre professionals and enthusiasts from (most of the from Latvia with some guests from Denmark and Norway) took part in this workshops.
For 3 days all participants together with their tutors: Martins Eihe (creative association Nomadi, Latvia), Kaja Kann (OMAtsirkus, Estonia), Ingvild Haugstad (Isenkram Teatret, Norway) and Christian Schroder (Madam Bach, Denmark) worked on topics related to TABUS in theatre for children and youth.
The main objectives of the workshop was to
- to search and explore the criteria for quality children and youth theatre performances from their perspective and experience;
- to explore the philosophy of children and youth theatres/theatre performances,
- to create new and innovative ideas for children and youth performances,
- to create and develop ideas for common performances for the future;
- to develop cooperation among different “actors’ within the field, for possible cooperation in the future
At the end of the workshop each group created an action/performance expressing their work done during these days.
